THREE men today pleaded not guilty to a charge of violent disorder following an incident in Maindee on Saturday.
Stephen Jones, 57, of Fron Hafren, Newtown, 54-year-old Raymond Scaddon, of Beaufort Street, Brynmawr and 53-year-old Andrew McCann, of Durham Road, Newport, appeared at Newport Magistrates Court.
The three men pleaded not guilty to an allegation of violent disorder on Saturday, January 24 in Durham Road.
The three men have been released on conditional bail. They must not contact each other or the prosecution witnesses, and are require to report weekly to their local police station. Scaddon and McCann must not enter Newport.
The next hearing will be at Newport Crown Court on Thursday, February 12.
