THESE are the latest shots of the eagerly-anticipated Friars Walk development - with just over a month to go until the official opening.

November 12 will be the first chance that residents will have to shop, eat and enjoy the range of entertainment and leisure facilities at the multi-million pound development.

The pictures provide a bird’s eye view of the complex as it nears completion.

Along with an attracting list of top high street brands to take up residence in the centre, the developers have also considered the sustainability nature of the facility - installing patches of Sedum on the roof.

This will help Friars Walk to achieve a BREEAM certificate, it is thought.

This stands for British Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology, and is used to monitor the environmental quality and consideration of building projects in the UK.

In 2010, Queensbury Real Estate were named as the site developers, with the construction work starting in 2014.
