GALE force winds are set to batter Gwent this afternoon as the Met Office issues a yellow weather warning.
Gusts of up to 50 to 60 mph will occur with further rain and strong winds forecasted for tomorrow.
The yellow warning of wind will be in place until at least 6pm this evening.
Jonathan Powell, of Principality Weather, said: "A deep Atlantic low pressure system delivers a Sunday consisting of gale force to severe gale force gusting, (50 to 60 mph), accompanied by spells of heavy rain.
"After Saturday's rain, the risk of localised flooding is heightened. Winds will peak this afternoon, pushing storm force, enough to cause minor structural damage.
"Monday continues to the poor weather with further rain and strong winds, with Tuesday seeing the situation ease."
