EBBW Vale residents defied the forecasted rain and gale force winds to enjoy the town's Christmas lights switch on event over the weekend.
Phil Edwards, from Ebbw Vale's business forum, said although the day was virtually a 'washout', many people still enjoyed the festive event.
"My thanks go to the children of Encore Theatre Academy for braving the weather and entertaining the small but enthusiastic crowd, and Catherine Jane Downs for bringing along Micky and Mini Mouse.
"I would also like to thank Alun Davies AM for switching on the lights and everyone who donated to the lighting fund.
"Thanks must also be given to Jeff Jones, who has donated all the proceeds from his book to the Christmas Lights Appeal."
