A CHILDHOOD friend of murdered mum-to-be Nikitta Grender said the 19-year-old was delighted at the prospect of having a baby girl.
Jenna White, also 19, told the Argus her friend of 12 years was "over the moon" about becoming a mum for the first time.
The pair used to go on nights out in Newport together and Miss White described the former Hartridge High School pupil as fun-loving.
She said: "She was lovely, a party girl who was up for a laugh and she'll be missed by a lot of people. She was looking forward to being a mum, when she told me she was having a girl she was over the moon."
